A Lieutenant Charles Robb Simpson is mentioned residing at 'Redcroft', Garvock Hill, Dunfermline, in the publication 'The Great War 1914-19. Roll of Honour of the Pupils and Staff of Dunfermline High School', 1920, R K Lindsay & Allan, The Abbey Press, Dunfermline, page 36.

It jhas not been possible to identify 'Redcroft' on Garvock Hill, nor the house number on the street to date.
