Immature Mackintosh for his cousin James Hamilton. Symmetrical double villa with massive outer bay windows, smaller inner bays beneath swept-down slate roof, on brackets. Coarse red ashlar, polished dressings, stone mullions, small-pane upper sashes, leaded at No 140. Wrought-iron gates and railings to low boundary wall.
