Lawers Church was constructed in 1833, replacing an earlier church whose remains stand 600m to the E by the shore of Loch Tay (NN63NE 16). The manse, built at the same time, stands immediately to the S. The congregation joined the Free Church at the Disruption of 1843, and the church is identified as a Free Church on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxix). It is no longer in use and the manse has been converted to holiday accommodation. Both buildings stand on the site of the earlier township of Tomb (NN63NE 118).
