Archaeology Notes

NJ26SW 33 c. 21 62.

A stone axe, measuring 5 1/2 by 2 1/2 by 1 1/4ins, and a cup of Aberdeen granite, 3 3/4ins in diameter by 2 1/4ins deep, both found in 1882 at Elgin (NJ 2162) were items in the collection of John Sturrock, Monikie, which was sold in October 1889.
