Greenburn Pit: An iron mine which is worked by a steam engine of 6 horse power, the depth of shaft being 30 fathoms and thickness of seam 14 inches. Leased and worked by the Shotts Iron Company and the property of James Waddell Esq., Crofthead Hose.
