Aerial photography has identified the cropmark of the N and E sides of a rectilinear enclosure immediately to the E of Howford Bridge. Only the N and E sides of this enclosure can be seen. The visible traces suggest an enclosure measuring 50m by 90m.

The S side of this enclosure has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1996). The enclosure therefore measures about 100m N-S.
