Sitauted on a track running SW from the B8000 road is a cottage formerly occupied by workers at the Gunpowder Works. Now annotated on the OS maps as 'The Glade' it is single storey with a slated roof, centrally placed door and two window openings to the front. The cottage has been whitewashed and has a small modern extension to the S end.
