Evidence for discovery: found in the old graveyard at Kinneddar in 1960 and presented to Elgin Museum.
Present condition: broken edges but the carving is in good condition.
Description
The extreme irregularities of this fragment suggest that it may be derived from an unfinished monument: both the outline of the cross and the surface treatment of its background are irregular. The cross has rectangular terminals and square armpits.
Date range: eighth or ninth century.
