OS 6" map, Elginshire, 1st ed., (1870)

A small hillock (Name Book 1870) - 'the supposed site of a Druidical place of worship' (H B Mackintosh 1924).

Fragments of a food vessel and bones were found scattered on the east side of Culback Hillock in 1864.

Name Book 1870; J G Phillips 1898; H B Mackintosh 1924.

Culback Hillock, a rise in a cultivated field, with no trace and no local knowledge of antiquity.
