A stone about 3 1/2' long, 2' broad and 12" thick, with, on one face, a rectangular socket 7" by 5" by 3" deep.
Until a few years before 1870 it was situated about NJ 2237 5656, but by that year it lay upon a bank at NJ 2238 5658.
'The stone was looked upon as an antiquity and it seems doubtful how long it stood in the previous position, nor is there much known concerning it'

A socket stone, still known as the "Bible Stone" The socket measures 9 1/2" by 7" by 3" deep.
