OS 6" map, (1959)

A 'Danish Camp' which according to Douglas could still be traced in 1928, although Name Book (1871) reports that it had been destroyed by cultivation.

Name Book 1871; R Douglas 1928

Air photographs show the remains of an enclosure on the site. (Visible on RAF air photographs CP/Scot/UK/242: 4243-3: flown 22 July 1947)

(Undated) information in NMRS.

No trace; on a rise with an extensive view.

Visited by OS (R L) 15 April 1971.

Activities

Field Visit (22 September 1943)

There are no remains of any kind visible on this site; but the position is so eminently suitable for a Roman fort that an air-photograph would be very desirable.

Visited by RCAHMS (AG, VGC) 22 September 1943.
