Activities

Watching Brief (9 September 2013 - 22 October 2014)

This Rutherglen Low Carbon Zone project involved an initial DBA 3607 followed by three individual yet overlapping projects 3660, 3784 and 3979.

A watching brief was carried out during the site clearance and construction of infrastructure consisting of roads and drainage in advance of a low carbon office development in Rutherglen, Glasgow. The watching brief recorded the remains of one nineteenth century east to west orientated wall foundation in the south-west area of the development (3784) and a large pottery dump along the south and east of the development (3660 and 3797). The remaining areas across the development revealed made-up ground and general disturbance throughout. An assemblage of late nineteenth and early twentieth century pottery was recovered for potential further analysis.
