At College of Roseisle '... in the 7th century there is presumed to have been a Columban chapel established from St Aetlian's Oratory at Burghead (cf. NJ16NW 2 and NJ16NW 6 ); and in Culdee times a small settlement of monks. The site of the College is uncertain and its history has perished.' (For college site, see NJ16NW 52.)

H B Mackintosh 1924.

The college field at the village of Roseisle' is alleged to be the original site of the sculptured stone near Altyre House (NJ05NW 34).

J R Allen and J Anderson 1903; Information from H W Young, Burghead.

No further information was found during field investigation. The college field was not located.
