Measured Survey (20 April 1998 - 23 April 1998)

During a four day period, from 20th to the 23rd April a group of Conservation Volunteers conducted a tidying-up campaign on the somewhat neglected site of the Open Air Church at Plockton. During these four days a number of projects were tackled:

1. A plan of the site drawn in September 1995 was checked for accuracy

2. Profiles were drawn of both the length and width of the auditorium

3. The gorse, which totally covered teh site was removed

4. A number of small trees growing in the seating terraces were removed

5. Damaged seating terraces on both the east and west sides of the auditorium were consolidated.

6. A small area of damaged seating on the east side of the auditorium was reconstructed to original conditon

7. Loose stone was removed from the site.

8. A photographic record was kept before, during and after completion of the work.
