Kelvin Stevenson Memorial Church, 62 Belmont Street and 93-99 Garriochmill Road, 1898, J J Stevenson
Dramatically sited on steep bank of Kelvin gorge. Designed by a Glasgow architect on a visit from his London office, which became a gateway for many other Scots in London. Scottish Gothic red sandstone church, with crowstep gables, tall tower and open crown steeple. Entered from Belmont Street at high level. Good interior, with north aisle arched arcade and gallery over, continued to west, fine detailing. Stained glass mid-20th century, Gordon Webster. Halls and caretaker's house entered from Garriochmill Road at lower level.
