Archaeology Notes

NT37SE 124 centred on NT 37860 72980

What is probably a small area of infilled open cast coal mining, or other mining activity, has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1996) to the W of Dolphingstone. A trackway leads into the area of possible mining from the SE.
