Archaeology Notes

NJ10SE 1 187 042.

Due to exceptionally dry conditions a probable crannog was noticed at the north end of this loch. Lying some 12m from the NE shore. Apparently connected to the lochside by a ruinous causeway, submerged some 40cm below the loch surface, and running from the SE quadrant of the islet, which was approximately 5m in diameter.

J Inglis and J Hay 1984.
