NJ05NW 17 0343 5850

A slightly worn Constantinapolis of Constantine I (C.21) minted at Thessalonica, was dug up by Mr John Austin, Hamewith, Forres in his garden at Forres many years ago. In 1950, he sent it for indentification. The coin is in the Falconer Museum, Forres.

The finder has since died, Hamewith (now called Kenora) is at NJ 0343 5850 (Mr M Anderson, Chemist, High St, Forres). The coin was seen in the Falconer Museum, described as bronze, and found in 1898 (no acc.
