Maltings (1). General view from south west of maltings floor, converted to accommodate 4 Saladin Boxes in 1964. This involved the insertion of a new floor and the blocking of all windows. A rail-mounted turning machine is currently in the first box (L) and could be moved to other boxes by traversers at each end. The floor of each box is comprised of steel mesh panels.
