(A: NJ 0533 2912) (B: NJ 0540 2913) (C: NJ 0546 2906) (D: NJ 0547 2906) Stones (NAT) (Twice)

OS 6"map, (1938)

The stones are not shown on the first edition 6"map, but are scheduled as 'standing stones - Upper Port - Grantown-on-Spey'.

OS 6"map, Morayshire, 1st ed., (1868)

The remains of a stone circle, described in the captions to the illustrations as 'standing stones'.

Ther are four stones, three of which (A, C and D) range in height from 4ft 3ins to 5ft 3 1/2ins. The height of the fourth is not quoted.

F R Coles 1907.

Four standing stones, situated in a cultivated field. Stone 'B' is 1.0m high. Stone 'A' is the only one with a packing of small stones at the base.

There is nothing to suggest that these stones are part of a circle.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (R L) 1 September 1966.
