Archaeology Notes

NH95NE 7 unlocated.

A bronze flat axe from the parish of Dyke and Moy is in the British Museum (Greenwell Collection WG 1798). It is slightly damaged on one face, but is otherwise perfect and has a very marked splay to the blade. It is 4 1/2" long, 2 17/20" across the blade and 19/20" across the butt. I C Walker 1967.

(Flat axe of Migdale type). Single find. Flat axe, brown patina, damaged on one face, scars across blade. Length 112mm, butt 23mm, cutting edge 72mm, weight 240 gms. BM WG 1798.
