(Area centred NH 906 422) Field clearance.

Visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/184: 2492-3 - flown 9

October 1946.

Centred at NH 906 423 is a field system marked by stone clearance heaps and lynchets, similar to those contemporary with hut circles. The system is partly concealed by deep heather and peat but three plots measured respectively about 40m by 15m, 30m by 20m and 40m by 25m. No hut circles are evident.

Visited by OS (R L) 27 January 1971.

The cairnfield has been entirely destroyed by afforestation.
