Field Visit (28 July 2010)

This rubble-built bridge with three segmental arches, battered abutments and round topped pointed breakwaters. The arches have cutashlar undersides. The datestone was covered in moss but according to Hume (1977) the bridge dates from 1859. Recent work has been carried out on the bridge including the addition of gabions for stabilisation of the approach and bridge piers.
