Archaeology Notes

NH 836 711. An area of about two hectares of heather-covered stone-free ground. Three clearance heaps, about 4.0m across, occur together with smaller examples. A distinct lynchet runs along the NE side of the area. These cultivation remains are more indicative of a prehistoric rather than a medieval or post-medieval date.

Visited by OS, 24 April 1981.

Visited, not much evidence, extent possible cairn, well back from study area at top of cliffs.

CFA/MORA Coastal Assessment Survey 1998.
