Archaeology Notes

NH85SW 3 829 502.

A cist grave containing fragments of an urn and some black ash was found, in a small sand hillock then being levelled, about 1873 AD on the farm of Nairnside, parish of Croy and Dalcross.

A large collection of flints of various shapes and sizes had been buried in the same knoll but whether any had been deposited in the cist, or were in any way connected with it, is not certain.
