Archaeology Notes

NC96SE 112 9763 6408

A roofless building, situated at the SW fringes of Milton, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of Sandside Estate. The building is well-preserved with cruck-slots visible throughout. There are fireplaces in two internal partitions as well as in one gable-end. The internal partitions do not appear to be keyed into the main walls. There is also a fireplace and chimney built into the back extension on the N of the building.
