Archaeology Notes

NH84SE 5 881 440.

Centred at NH 881 440 is an area of stone clearance heaps of the type usually associated with hut circles. They are greatly obscured by peat and best seen to the E of the public road where the heather is burnt. No cultivation plots can be identified and no huts are evident.

A scattered group of small cairns, which measure up to 4 m in diameter, is situated on a gently sloping terrace on both sides of the public road.
