Watching Brief (7 March 2019)
NS 606 645 A watching brief was carried out, 7 March 2019, during the excavation of geotechnical test pits at Abercromby Street. Human remains were uncovered in two of the test pits, as well as coffin handles. These are presumed to be related to the burial ground depicted on the 1865 Ordnance survey map of the site next to St Mary’s Church which dates to 1842.
