Urie Bridge, Keithhall Road, 1809. Well executed: strong segmental arch and massive spandrels with some nicely understated detailing. Built during the same burst of Improvement that saw the first Don bridge (1791), the turnpike (1800) and the canal (1805) and which provided the conditions for Inverurie's rapid growth (from 450 to 3058 inhabitants between 1801 and 1901).
