(NH 8083 2934) Prince Charles's Stone (NAT)

OS 6" map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1906)

A large stone c.4 1/2ft high and about the same in diameter with a fairly flat top, where, it is alleged, Prince Charles and his staff dined on their way to Culloden.

Name Book 1870.

A stone as described above, situated on the bank which flanks Wade's Road. Name and tradition still known locally.
