House, built 1769 with main part c. 1840/50. Small and plain classical laird's house with a ruined stable block of 1797, with pepperpot turrets and a raised battlemented central section. It latterly served as a dormitory for the calico printing apprentices at Woodside Works (NJ90NW 396.00) and is now the headquarters of the NE River Purification Board.
