Archaeology Notes

NT14SE 52 1919 4209.

The cropmark of a possible enclosure, with a diameter of approximately 30m, has been identified from aerial photographs on a ridge 740m NE of Hamildean farmsteading. An arc of ditch immediately to the W may represent the N half of a much smaller enclosure.

Information from RCAHMS (KB) 16 July 1999

Two mushroom rings have been recorded on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1995), in an area covered in rig and furrow on a saddle to the E of Hamildean Hill.
