Archaeology Notes

NX44NE 62 47812 46231

NX 4781 4623. A corrugated iron village hall situated on the seaward side of South Crescent. Troops were billeted in the hall whilst working on the artificial Mulberry Harbour sections which were towed to the Normandy beaches after the invasion of Europe in June 1944.
