The old market cross of Miltown still stands on the village green.
D MacDonald, A Polson and J Brown 1931; ISSFC 1902.
A market cross 3.3m high, consisting of an octagonal shaft set in a square socket-stone on a square plinth, and surmounted by an ornamental stone ball, dated 1799, and probably associated with the building of Tarbet House, at NH 770 7361, in 1799. The remainder of the cross is earlier. The shaft is supported by a modern metal framework.
