The buildings of Westertown Farm include a hexagonal horse-engine house, probably dating from the mid-nineteenth century. It was photographed in the mid 1970s but maps published since then do not depict it.
Horse-engine houses contained the mechanisms for powering threshing machines located in the adjacent barn.
