Standing Building Recording (17 March 2015)
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Cruden Homes (East) Ltd to undertake a programme of historic building recording and an archaeological evaluation at the former Curriehall Primary School in Currie, Edinburgh prior to and after its demolition, as a condition of planning consent. The school was built in the mid-20th century, probably after the Second World War (but before 1954), with later blocks added to the rear throughout the later 20th century. The building had been abandoned for some time and the interior was in a poor, damp and derelict state. There were few features of interest in the building apart from the timber panelling and remnants of original timber-panelled cupboards to some first floor offices and classrooms.
