These slaughter houses no longer exist, their place being taken by the new markets and abattoirs at Gorgie.

Original General Plan of 1851 signed by David Cousin, Architect.

Elevation of principal entrance towards Fountainbridge shewing gateways, etc. and dated at City Chambers, Edinburgh, 17th February, 1851.

Plans of 1884 show the slaughterhouses with 'Mr. Wight's Skin and Tallow Shed' and 'The Edinburgh Hide, Skin and Tallow property' on either side.
