Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Two blocks of farm cottages stand to the east of Swinton Bridge End farmsteading, each sub-divided into two semi-detached dwellings. Both still survive, though one cottage has now been converted into a single house. They date from the late nineteenth century.

The cottages are single-storeyed in height, and built of rubble sandstone. They feature crowstepped gables, and have windows of original sash and case design, each glazed with multiple small panes of glass.
