Archaeology Notes

NT67NE 67 centred 6682 7632.

Broomhouse Quarry is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Haddingtonshire 1907, sheet vi.16), and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map sheet (1984) as a disused quarry with woodland cover. Recent air photographs (RCAHMSAP) show the quarry is now visible only as a cropmark.
