The site of what is 'generally known' to have been a pre-Reformation chapel with its burial enclosures.

The position of the chapel is indicated by slight, grass-grown ridges indicating dimensions of 42' by 21'.

The slight, turf-covered footings of a chapel remain visible within a small rectangular graveyard in which no evidence of burials can now be seen. The chapel appears to be of the two-celled type with a square-ended chancel measuring approximately 3.4m by 2.6m, and the nave measuring approximately 6.7m by 5.0m.

Field Visit (9 September 1930)
Chapel and Burial-ground, Kirkhouse. Close to a ruined crofter's house, about 300 yds. W. of Everland farm-house, may be seen the slight, grass-grown ridges which indicate the position of this chapel. The overall dimensions are, roughly, 42 ft. by 21 ft.
