The military road heads for Dulsie Bridge and then continues NW towards Fort George by the shortest route.

The military road is mainly overlaid by a modern road throughout this map sheet. Where it does survive it is evident as a well engineered carriageway c.5m wide, mostly between flanking banks and with a back drain occasionally visible. AT NH 9436 4024, some 350m E of Dunearn Lodge, there is a disused Wade-type bridge (NH94SW 21), which is isolated in a pasture field, the river having changed its course and the modern road passing close by to the N. At Dulsie Bridge, the road crosses the River Findhorn at NH 9319 4144 on a fine double-arched military bridge (NH94SW 17) in a good state of repair. There is no trace of milestones.

Initially the military road follows the line of the modern tarmac road, by-passing a single span stone bridge (NH94SW 21) at NH 9438 4021. At NH 9319 4144 the road traverses the River Findhorn on the old stone Dulsie Bridge (NH94SW 17). Between NH 9327 4161 and NH 9324 4189 there is a short stretch of grass-covered track 3m to 4m wide between flanking banks, isolated and disused and so in no apparent risk of suffering damage. At the N end of this section the military features are well preserved. From Dulsie Bridge the military road heads NW mainly under tarmac, apart from a couple of short sections. To the W of NH 9031 4432 a short stretch of track is visible passing through the conifer plantation next to the modern road. The road crosses over the Allt Aireimh on an old bridge (NH94SW 18.02) at NH 9299 4332, but no trace was found of the remains of a bridge over the Allt an t-Sidhein (NH94SW 20) at NH 9023 4437, which has been recorded by the RCAHMS.

The course of the military road on this map sheet is shared between either NH 9390 4029 or NH 9413 4021 as far as Dulsie Bridge (NH94SW 17) at NH 9319 4144 by the Duthil to Dulsie Bridge military road (NH94SW 32.00, MR 27).

The OS record this as a modern bridge incorporating old masonry in parts, whereas Logie (1997) registers it as a single span stone bridge, undated but probably early.
