Activities

Field Visit (June 2013)

Two cairns, first recorded in 1998, were mapped during field survey as part of the Cairngorms Communities Heritage Partnership in June 2013. Reference to orthophotographs and maps show them to be situated in rough moorland 90m NE of a plantation that flanks the NE perimeter of the Highland Wildlife Park (NH80SW 58). The NW cairn (NH80235 04508) is oval on plan, measuring 9m NE to SW by 7m transversely. The SE cairn, 90m SE of the first, measures 12.3m NE to SW by 11m transversely. Two clearance cairns were recorded between the two cairns.
