Archaeology Notes

NH72SE 7 7663 2370.

At NH 7663 2370 in an unconspicuous position within a field system (NH72SE 4), is a cairn c.12.0m in diameter and 0.6m high. The centre is disturbed. A fragment of walling c.3.0m long against the W edge may be an old grouse butt.

Surveyed at 1/10 000.

Visited by OS (A A) 16 December 1971.

External Reference (2010)

Two cairns and an associated field system situated c. 400m south of a bend in the river Findhorn by Dalarossie church on a false crest, and within 400m of Dalarossie cairn . This cairn is well preserved.
