Formerly part of NN54SW 2.
Four buildings, on south of the river, shown and named 'Kernock', in 1747 (W Roy MS map of Scotland). Name applies also to the buildings on the opposite side of the river (see NN54SW 2).
Depopulation indicated by roofless buildings, named Wester Moar in 1900 (OS 6" map).
All roofed and western group named Ceann Cnoic in 1867 (OS 6" map).
W Roy 1747-55
To the east of the river are the foundations of two long buildings, one small building and another structure extending from the south end of a roofed farm building. There are also the remains of a corn drying kiln. The foundations vary from grassed-over walls at ground level to dry stone walls up to 0.5m high.

Visible on air photographs (OS/59/96: 105).
A small township, comprising two roofed buildings and one unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lvii). One roofed building and four unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1989).

Field Visit (30 May 2015)
A walkover survey was undertaken on 30 May 2015 along the route of a proposed new hydro-electric scheme and an access road to it at Moar, Glen Lyon. The remains of several pre-Improvement settlements identified by a desk study were encountered during the survey as was a possible burial cairn (at NN 52979 43440), not previously recorded.

Field Visit (30 May 2015)
The remains of three buildings, one of them a kiln, were identified during field survey in the vicinity of a new access road.
Structure 1 - Structure 1, located at NN 53095 43738, measures 9m north/south by 4m wide over drystone rubble walls of which a maximum of one course survives. There appears to have been an entrance midway along the east wall.
Structure 2 - The sparse remains of Structure 2 are located at NN 53038 43695, in a separate field from the one through which the new access road will run. This long building measures some 26m east/west by 5m wide overall, its walls almost completely covered by grass.
Structure 3 - Located in the same field as Structure 2 and to its immediate south-east is Structure 3 which appears to have been a kiln. It measures approximately 2m in diameter although it was not possible to determine any other measurements. Field clearance boulders have been deposited within the structure.
Mounds of stones, presumably derived from field clearances, are spread over a wide area, particularly in the vicinities of the former settlements of NN54SW 11 and 12.
