Archaeology Notes

NH69SE 6 centred 6758 9190.

To the E of the house of Mr John Murray, Cnoc Dubh, Achaidh, is a small group of four or five mounds, only two of which are clearly defined. These lie NW-SE and meaure some 16' x 11'.

RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909.

Local enquiries located the house mentioned by RCAHMS at NH 6745 9186. In the area centred NH 675 918 are a few modern stone clearance heaps and natural peat formations, which are probably what the RCAHMS have seen.
