Station [NAT]

OS 1:10,560 map, 1897.

This intermediate station on the Ayr - Muirkirk branch line of the former Glasgow and South-Western Rly. was also one of the junction stations for Cumnock. It was opened by the Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock and Ayr Rly. on 9 August 1848 and closed to regular passenger traffic on 10 September 1951.
