Site recorded as part of a desk-based assessment and field inspection conducted in connection with an environmental assessment for proposed works on power lines between Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy.

Activities

Field Visit (7 December 2014)

Nothing is visible in an area now occupied by parkland of a colliery that is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inchmap (Fife and Kinross 1896, Sheet XXXIV.SW). At that time it comprised a pit-head and at least six roofed buildings.
