Hugh Martin & Partners, 1985-7 (shopping centre).

Original buildings formed a four-storey merchant square in yellow sandstone, named in honour of the birth of the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII).

Five-storey speciality shopping centre by Martin with interior design consultants The Design Solution. Ironwork in style influenced by continental Art Nouveau by Alan Dawson. Etched glass on lifts by Maria McLafferty. Trompe l'oeil wall paintings of famous Glaswegians by Dai Vaughan.
