What may have been an enclosed cremation cemetery was discovered in 1847. A large urn and a stone axe (NMAS AF 420) were surrounded by fifteen smaller urns, all of them grouped within a banked enclosure about 16m in diameter. The urns were destroyed according to Maclean (1886).
