Archaeology Notes

Two mounds as described above were noted ENE of the chambered cairn. They are turf-covered and more likely to be field clearance heaps rather than burial mounds.

Three cairns are situated 30m EN E, 90m NE and 180m ENE respectively of Stittenham chambered cairn (NH67SW 1). They vary between 4m and 5m in diameter and 0.4m and 0.5m in height.
